Corporate Venture Capital Is King In Japan

CB Insights released their 2015Q2 venture capital report recently. There are a lot of interesting data gems in there, but what stood out to me was corporate venture capital participation. I noticed that in the US it hovers around 20%, and in Asia around 30%. I had a feeling that in Japan it was perhaps significantly higher, so I decided to investigate.

What I found was in fact much higher than even I expected. About 60 – 80%.
